Launch Prairie Fire Program, an academic funding Program, with Branch Association of Rheumatology, Chinese Medical Association

In order to improve the current situation of late start, imbalance development and uneven level in Chinese rheumatism discipline, 3SBio assisted Chinese Rheumatology Society in initiating “Program of Praire Fire”. The program adheres to the meaning of “A single spark can start a prairie fire.”, and its purpose is to promote young doctors in Department of Rheumatology and Immunology to carry out scientific research, to march toward precision medicine and to boost the faster and stronger development of national rheumatology.


Bid inviting for program of Praire Fire was firstly launched in March 2015 and experienced two rounds of expert review, and the first result of bid inviting was published by professor Zeng Xiaofeng, a chairman of committee in Branch Association of Rheumatology of Chinese Medical Association,in 2015 Academic Annual Meeting of Rheumatology Association held by Beijing Medical Association. At the thematic meeting of “10 Years of Biological Agent” (a part of this annual meeting), chairman Zeng recalled the work for first bid inviting of program of Praire Fire and appreciated the positive efforts made by 3SBio for assisting Branch Association of Rheumatology, Chinese Medical Association in constant practice and innovation for the promotion of rheumatology development and the training of reserve talents. A total of over 140 biding documents from 21 provinces across the country were received in the first round of bid inviting, with 126 biding documents finally entered the review. 15 candidates winning the bid were published at the scene after the first round of score based on blind peer review. The 15 candidates also experienced second round face-to-face reply on November 26, and amount of sponsorship for candidates was finally dependent on the result of this reply.
