Expert for China’s National 863 Program and the National Major Science and Technology Project for New Drug Development; National COVID 19 Antibody R&D Review Expert. He led the development of multiple Class 1 and Class 2 innovative biologics, including TPIAO, EPIAO and Cipterbin, among which SSGJ 707 (PD 1/VEGF bispecific antibody) has been granted Breakthrough Therapy Designation in China.

In 2026, biopharmaceuticals were officially designated as a national strategic emerging pillar industry. This national strategic vision embodies the dedication and exploration of numerous industry peers over decades, bringing new opportunities and greater responsibilities to innovative biopharmaceutical companies like ours. Over the past three decades, we have remained committed to our mission—"Making Innovative Biologics Accessible"—and our vision—"Rooted in China, to Become a World Class Biopharmaceutical Enterprise." The growth of 3SBio has always been in step with China’s journey toward self reliance and advancement in biopharmaceuticals.

In the 1990s, China’s biopharmaceutical industry was still in its infancy. Most advanced therapies relied on imports, and treatment options were limited, posing significant clinical challenges. In 1993, 3SBio started from a small laboratory in Shenyang. We began with biosimilars and gradually advanced to developing innovative biologics with independent intellectual property rights. Today, we hold over 190 national invention patents and nearly 40 marketed products, covering major therapeutic areas including nephrology, hematology and oncology, immunology, and dermatology. Over the past 30 years, we have stayed true to our course—pursuing what is difficult yet right, never chasing short term trends, and consistently deepening our commitment to the pharmaceutical industry. We now operate the National Engineering Research Center of Antibody Drugs, 6 R&D centers across both biologics and chemical drug platforms, 4 manufacturing sites and 4 CDMO bases. Our annual production capacity includes 333 million vials and prefilled syringes, 115,000 liters of antibody capacity, and 40 million bottles of tinctures and foams. Our core products are exported to more than 39 countries and registered in over 40 countries worldwide.

Years of persistent dedication have brought us significant milestones. In 2025, our revenue surpassed RMB 10 billion, marking our entry into a new stage of high quality development. Our independently developed PD 1/VEGF bispecific antibody SSGJ 707 entered a strategic partnership with Pfizer, with a total deal value exceeding USD 6 billion—marking our evolution from product exports to the export of technology and standards. This growth is rooted in our unwavering commitment to quality over the years. We align our manufacturing operations with global standards. All our production bases have passed the latest domestic GMP certification and adhere to global quality systems. We have also established a comprehensive, end to end quality management system backed by multiple international certifications, including those from the U.S. FDA and the EU EMA.

From early stage technical breakthroughs to today’s broad product portfolio, we continue to increase R&D investment. Over the past decade, we have invested RMB 7.6 billion in R&D, with 25 pipeline candidates advancing in parallel. We now have more than 6,100 employees, including over 840 R&D personnel, 49.6% of whom hold a master’s degree or higher. At every critical stage of our growth, we have relied on highly skilled talent. As we expand our industrialization capabilities globally, we will simultaneously expand our global talent footprint, integrating cutting edge R&D concepts, process standards, and market insights from overseas with China’s strong industrial foundation. Talent defines how far we can go and underpins our long term resilience. Looking ahead, we will continue to strengthen our global talent layout and build robust talent pipelines.

Biopharmaceuticals are now a national strategic emerging pillar industry—one that demands enduring perseverance, professional dedication, and unwavering commitment. The industry is at a critical stage of innovation driven transformation, where opportunities and responsibilities go hand in hand. Looking to the future, we will continue to pursue scientific breakthroughs with rigor and uphold a long term approach. Staying true to our original aspiration, we are rooted in China and determined to become a world class biopharmaceutical enterprise—so that innovative biologics can benefit patients in China and around the world.
